Chris Borchert | Co-founder

Chris combined his love of music with his background in new media to co-found Kickshuffle in the fall of 2011. He currently studies at the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he is pursuing a certificate in Intellectual Property in addition to his Juris Doctor. Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs, and wrote his thesis on the role of new media in modern American political discourse. He has been published by the PEW Institute’s Project for Excellence in Journalism in a study titled How Mainstream Media Outlets Use Twitter. In addition, Chris has worked extensively with a two-time Emmy and Peabody award-winning producer at a high-powered communications firm in Washington, D.C.

Pat Campolo | Co-founder

Patrick, a music enthusiast and avid guitar player, is currently a candidate for a Master’s Degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School, focusing on marketing and management. He graduated from the College of William and Mary in May 2011. Patrick’s interest in media was sparked by an internship with a major New York cable television network, where he was responsible for researching and presenting ideas on ways in which to use social media to promote the launch of a streaming broadband product for the network. Patrick’s other interests include all things Italian and world travel. He speaks fluent Italian and lived abroad in Italy as a student.

Brian Weidy | staff writer

Brian is a prolific rock journalist. In addition to studying at The Dalton School, Brian frequently contributes to a variety of music news websites, including Jambands.com, Feast of Music and Sensible Reason. Brian also has experience working at a major recording studio in Chicago, as well as handling social media for an emerging record label in New York.
